This is an article in TOI on May 15,2012 (i.e. today) which talks about alarming rate of suicide in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. 104 suicides in 4 months!!! with maximum number of people belonging to age group 20-30 years!!! I am not able to understand why these people, who are at the very beginning of their lives decide to end it?? Is it because the problems they are facing are so big that ending their lives is the only choice?? or is it because they are so weak that they cannot solve their problems and move on?? Whatever the cause is, I would not want to comment on that as I don't have any idea about it.
My point of writing this blog here is to ask you your opinions on the matter and to show some stats that might be alarming. The question still lies: Is our lives so cheap and are we so helpless and weak that we decide to end our lives??
