For many, it is regarding socio-economic status, education, industry etc. Now, let me consider my own Nation, perhaps the most beautiful on earth...

Fodder scam – Rs.900 crores
Bofors scam – $ 16 Millions
Satyam scam – Rs.14,000 crores
Telgi scam – Rs.20,000 crores+
Commonwealth Games scam – Rs.70,000 crores
2G spectrum scam – Rs.1,76,000 crores

A. K. Antony – Rs.1.84Lakhs (self) + Rs.40 Lakhs (wife)
Pranab Mukharjee – Rs.1.8 crores
P.Chidumbaram – Rs. 11 crore (self) +Rs.12 crore (wife)

Yet another perspective (a little comforting one) :
and at last my personal favorite :
Few months ago, any agitation was work of mostly politically aspirated people of of those who are free and have little or no work (there were exceptions, of course), the concept of public was 'limited' to some whistle-blowers and litigants. But now India has risen above such foolish notions and now I see a community which is way more powerful than it was before. Yes, it is yet to realize its full potential, but at least it has begun...
