I am All Smiles...

“I am all smiles...”, this was the status of a friend of mine on a social networking site a few days ago. Several comments, as usual. But what I want to know is upto what extent? Every body has one or the other problem every day, some big ones, some small ones, so why this overstatement? Another very common misnomer is “I am fine, thank you”. Whenever you ask any person, how he/she is, almost unanimously you get the above statement in reply.

Social Networking or Friendship???

We are living in a cyber age. It all started with basic networking, sharing information, e-mail, chats and now social networking sites. Social networking sites have given us a convenient medium to search our 'old' friends, 'manage' friends, 'share' things etc. etc. etc. Everything is pretty fine but think...has it changed meaning of 'friendship'??

Luck, Fate, Destiny...

'Luck', 'fate', 'destiny'... these are three common words which we use in everyday life. Although they have a similar meaning, they are not exactly the same. 'Luck' stands for 'the chance happening of fortunate or adverse events'; 'fate' is the 'force behind such chances' and 'destiny' stands for 'a predetermined course of events considered as something beyond human power or control'.

The Superior Species...

While studying evolution we see how the species originated and evolved into advanced life forms from crude ones. Charles Darwin's “Survival of the Fittest” and “Natural Selection” theories give enough evidences that Homo sapiens (or simply humans i.e. us) are the most superior forms of life (well, at least we think so). But here I am not talking about such evolutionary phenomenon.
